Motherwell, Carfin, Holytown and Newarthill mix older terraces and semis with new estates built in the last twenty years. The older houses often still have a wooden front door with a mortice lock and a night latch; the newer ones have composite doors with a multipoint mechanism.

We repair both. In ML1 we are often fitting British Standard mortice locks on the wooden doors (insurers ask for them), replacing worn mechanisms in the composite ones, and changing locks after a move. Usually with you in 30 minutes to an hour.
